Shoppers can verify inventory across 2,056 online thrift shops

Buyers looking for large household goods can also examine dedicated thrift stores with furniture sections, while local donors can research drop-off points using listings of thrift stores accepting donations. Calling a store before visiting or ordering remains a reliable way to check current inventory, pickup rules, and local shop hours.
Three limitations define the directory dataset
This dataset reflects strict measurement boundaries. A store counts as selling online only when its own website links to a web shop it runs. Stores without a website are not counted, so the true share is higher. Online-only resellers without a shop are not in the directory.
How we measured
A store counts as selling online when its own website links to a web store, an online auction or a marketplace shop run by the store. We read the websites of the 11,632 listed stores that have one; stores without a website are not counted, so the true share is higher than the confirmed share shown here.
